Hops Latent viroid TESTING - $25

TECHNOLOGY

Our results center around a dual-testing methodology: color changing reaction (colorimetric assay) LAMP and qPCR. The color change indicates presence, via amplification, or absence of the RNA of interest. In the case of our Hops Latent Viroid (HpLVd) test this RNA is related to the viroids life-cycle and its presence will change our solution from pink to yellow. This signifies a positively detected infection. qPCR is an industry standard diagnostic methodology that detects amplification of the viroid in real time.

WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR OUR TESTS?

Evidence suggests that while HpLVd is systemic it does not uniformly distribute itself among the plants. Portions of the same plant can have very high viroid loads while other segments appear asymptomatic. For the most accurate results please send several leaf and root samples (up to 4) from around the plant.
