Plant Tissue Culture & Clonal Propagation

Cannomic provides aseptic micropropagation services for cultivators, breeders, genetics companies, hemp operations, nurseries, and research organizations. Our tissue culture pipeline produces genetically identical, pathogen-free plantlets from client-supplied source material, replacing the limitations of conventional mother room propagation with a scalable, laboratory-controlled process. Each cultivar receives an individually optimized protocol covering media composition, plant growth regulator ratios, and subculture timing. All propagation work is performed under strict aseptic technique within our molecular diagnostics laboratory infrastructure.

Production Process

Client material is received as cuttings or explants and initiated into sterile culture through surface sterilization and aseptic establishment. Multiplication is carried out through sequential subculture cycles using hormone protocols tailored to each genetic line. Rooted plantlets undergo a hardening and acclimation phase prior to shipment, ensuring material arrives production-ready rather than requiring extended recovery periods at the receiving facility. Culture identity and status are tracked through our custom LIMS from initiation through final shipment, and all process steps are governed by documented standard operating procedures.

Quality and Consistency

Our propagation program operates under the same quality management framework applied across all Cannomic laboratory services, including documented SOPs, key quality indicator monitoring, and a formal corrective and preventive action process. Environmental conditions within culture areas are continuously monitored and logged. Every plantlet shipped is traceable to its source explant, with full chain-of-custody documentation available to clients. This infrastructure is designed to deliver uniform genetic output at scale, whether the order is a few hundred plantlets to establish a new line or tens of thousands for commercial deployment.
